The Charlotte–Mecklenburg Police Department's Honor Guard Unit is a volunteer resource designed to professionally represent the department at fallen officer funerals, retired officer funerals, memorial and promotion ceremonies and any event designed to present the American Flag.
Twenty-five (25) officers serve as members of the Honor Guard.Captain Jeffrey Estes is the Unit Commander and has overall command authority in all matters pertaining to the internal organization of the unit. There are two Honor Guard supervisors, Sergeant Cecil Brisbon and Sergeant Jacquelyn Hulsey.
