Offers individuals with pending court actions an opportunity to have their court case(s) dismissed without having a criminal conviction on their record. Charges such as simple assault(s), communicating threats, harassing phone calls, damage to real or personal property, unauthorized use of motor vehicles and larceny are referred to DSP from District Court Judges, Magistrates’ Office, District Attorneys’ Office, private attorneys, Public Defenders’ Office, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, Sheriff’s Department and the Clerk of Superior Court.
