                CPAT Final Test Runs:                           June 4th

2011 FIREFIGHTER HIRING PROCESS UPDATE

The Charlotte Fire Department has filled its current vacancies from the 2011 Hiring Process.  If you were not hired, your application will remain active until September 1, 2012.  If the Charlotte Fire Department requires a recruit class prior to September 1, 2012, then your application will be reviewed for employment.  To ensure your continued eligibility for employment with the Charlotte Fire Department beyond September 1, 2012, we strongly encourage you to participate in the 2012 Hiring Process, which begins at 8:00 AM Monday November 28, 2011


Firefighter Eligibility Requirements:
(must be met as of test date)
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
  • Honorable discharge, if any, from the military
  • Must meet the medical requirements set 
    forth in NFPA 1582
