BIKE! Charlotte is 17 days of bicycle-related events and promotions used to empower the citizens of Charlotte to incorporate the bicycle into their daily lives. The theme this year is “Riding for a Better Community.”
Events kick-off with the Mayor’s Ride/Bike to Breakfast in Uptown on Friday, April 26. Other events include guided rides, bike tours, kids’ bicycle safety roadeos, maintenance clinics, mountain bike races, bike demos and the Big BINGO Bike Ride Festival.
Events run from Friday, April 26 until Friday, May 12. Promotions include free rides on CATS buses or LYNX from May 5 – 11 when you bike to transit.

UNDERDOGS: The Journey Home
On Friday, May 3 Road to Home Canine Refuge and Rodney Scot Photography will present UNDERDOGS: The Journey Home to benefit Charlotte-Mecklenburg Animal Care & Control (AC&C) and Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love. Event tickets are $25 each, and attendees with be served complimentary food & wine, and more than twenty pieces of unique artwork will be showcased and sold at silent auction.
All proceeds will benefit Animal Care & Control, Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love, and Road to Home Canine Refuge.
