Charlotte City Manager Ron Carlee and interim Aviation Director Brent Cagle will provide an Aviation functional studies update at a media briefing scheduled for Monday, October 7.

Carlee and Cagle will provide detail on upcoming reviews and studies that will examine areas of operation at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The areas defined include financial management processes, compensation and benefits, procurement and contracting, security and public safety and financial forecasting and debt management.
These areas of study were recommended for further examination and application of best practices as part of the Airport Governance Study commissioned by the City of Charlotte. The media briefing will provide detail on the areas to be studied and the goals of the individual review.
Attached is a memo from Carlee to the City Council that details the functional areas that will be reviewed.
