2011 BIKE! Charlotte is 17 days of bicycle-related events and promotions encouraging families, friends and colleagues to break out the bike and integrate it into their daily routine. The theme this year is “Where Will Your Ride Go?” This year's festivities will also feature the Mayor's Ride/Bike to Breakfast in Uptown Charlotte on Friday, April 29.

2011 BIKE! Charlotte events include guided rides, bike tours, kids’ bicycle safety rodeos, maintenance clinics, mountain bike races, promotions, bike demos, the Charlotte Cycle Festival and the Historic 38th Annual Dilworth Criterium Bike Race. There are also many great promotions, including passengers who use their bikes on CATS buses or the LYNX train can ride free May 1-7, 2011.

BIKE! Charlotte is a City of Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) sponsored event. Charlotte Sports Cycling is the event management company that organizes and promotes BIKE! Charlotte. Charlotte Sports Cycling works with many of the local bike shops, cycling clubs and advocacy groups to host one of Charlotte’s most healthy and inspiring events.
