City of Charlotte honors civil rights activist Franklin E. McCain

A resolution honoring Franklin E. McCain has been issued by the City of Charlotte. McCain, a Charlotte resident, is best known for his work on behalf of the civil rights movement. His activism began when he was a student at North Carolina State A&T University.
 
In issuing the resolution today, Mayor Patrick Cannon stated: “Franklin E. McCain will always be remembered for his many contributions made to the City of Charlotte and North Carolina. He fought tirelessly for justice and equality. His legacy will forever ring in the hearts and minds of Charlotteans and people throughout the world.”
