GOV Channel (Cable 16) Transitioning to Digital Channel 97-2

Time Warner Cable is gradually phasing out analog channels over the next one to two years to make room for more digital programming as well as allow for additional bandwidth on current channels. This update requires moving the remaining analog channels into a frequency range that does not pass through the cable system as easily as before.
Beginning October 1, 2013, any customers using an analog box will no longer be able to view the GOV Channel - Cable 16 without digital equipment such as a Time Warner Cable-provided set-top box, digital adapter, or CableCARD; customers with this issue may visit or call (855) 286-1736 for more information.
For those televisions with an existing digital set-top box/adapter, QAM tuner or CableCARD: access to this channel will continue without the need for additional equipment.
On newer digital televisions, the setup menu should offer a re-scan for new channels. This process will allow for both channel 16 and digital channel 97-2 to be viewable.
