MUMPO to Open Public Comment Period and Hold Public Meetings

The Mecklenburg-Union Metropolitan Planning Organization (MUMPO) will open a 30-day public comment period on Monday, May 16, 2011 and hold two open house-format meetings to receive the public’s input on the draft 2012-2018 Transportation Improvement Program and proposed amendments to its 2035 Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP). Public input will also be received on the Conformity Determination Report for the TIP and LRTP. The meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

The public is invited to attend the meeting and provide MUMPO with its comments and concerns. The public comment period closes on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. Final action on the draft TIP and associated documents is scheduled for Wednesday, July 20 at 7:00 PM in Room 267 of the Government Center. Please note that the Conformity Determination Report covers all of Union County, including that area in the jurisdiction of the Rocky River Rural Planning Organization. Therefore, MUMPO’s public involvement process is intended to include that portion of Union County.
