Due to the expectation of inclement weather in the region, the City of Charlotte has developed a contingency plan that would shift the City Council meeting to an earlier time on Monday, January 10. If necessary, the business meeting would convene at 11 a.m. instead of 7 p.m. A final decision on the time change will be made early Monday morning.
Also as part of the plan, the Council’s Dinner Briefing, which is scheduled for 5 p.m., would be canceled, but the remaining Council Committee meetings for the day would be held as scheduled if weather permits:
- Noon – Governmental Affairs
- 1:30 pm – Budget
- 3:30 pm – Transportation & Planning
Information on any further changes or delays to City services will be posted to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management site at http://emergency.charmeck.org.
