Information released as the result of additional candidate requests must be made available to all candidates. Therefore, all information released by the City of Charlotte resulting from candidate requests will be posted to this page (see table below). As a candidate for Mayor or City Council, you may make requests for additional information from any area of City government through Corporate Communications & Marketing. Please do not contact individual departments or staff as this may delay a response. When making a request, please be as specific as possible and include:
  • Your name
  • Date of request
  • Contact information (email, phone, fax)
  • Clearly state your request
  • Indicate the time period in which you need to receive the requested information
To make a request, send an email with the above information or call 704-336-2396.

Our staff will provide you the information in a reasonable timeframe. If additional research or documents must be produced we will inform you of any resulting delays. If the information is voluminous and we are unable to produce copies free of charge OR email the documents, we will post the information on this site where you can download it, or you may bring a disk to our office at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (600 E. Fourth Street, second floor) and have the information copied.
