Our Services:
The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services key business unit is one of the largest municipal collection systems in the southeastern United States. Providing quality service at the lowest possible cost is the core of the unit's business philosophy. This philosophy is based on running the unit as a business under a model closely aligned with private sector practices, but in a public sector environment and encompassing public sector values. This model has proven successful for us, and for you, our customer.

Solid Waste Services offers curbside collection of garbage, recycling, yard waste and bulky items for single-family residences and multi-family communities (apartments, condominiums and town homes) with fewer than 30 units within the City of Charlotte boundaries. Collection is also provided for businesses that generate fewer than 512 gallons of trash per week.
