Report street lights out
Charlotte, NC — The Charlotte Department of Transportation reminds pedestrians and motorists to stay safe.  The time changes this weekend (fall back one hour so it will be getting dark earlier), trick or treaters will be out crossing intersections and some street lights might not be working. Everyone should make safety their top priority and be extra careful.
Street lights that are burned out can be called in to CharMeck 311.  Duke Energy will handle repairs.  For more information about street lights, please refer to  For more information about pedestrian safety, visit
Publics Service announcements below may be used to help educate citizens about pedestrian safety and street lights out.
