Annual Traffic Safety Report

Content1
Each year the Charlotte Department of Transportation produces an Annual Traffic Safety Report that summarizes the collisions that occur within the city limits of Charlotte. The data presented in the report are trends from the previous calendar year. The data does not include collisions that occur on Interstate highways (I-77, I-85, I-485 and I-277) or crashes that occur in private areas like parking lots. The information is used to develop programs and projects to address documented collision patterns with the ultimate goal of reducing crashes in the City.
