Take the 80X to the Coca-Cola 600

On Sunday, May 29, 2016, CATS will operate service on route 80X to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Coca-Cola 600.
Transit service will begin the day of the race starting at 12 noon and will operate every 20 minutes. Service to the Speedway will operate until 6 pm.  Customers can board the 80X on the 4th Street side of the Charlotte Transportation Center.  Bus service for both races will include the 80X making a loop Uptown and stopping near the NASCAR Hall of Fame and major hotels on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., McDowell Street, 4th Street, College Street, and Trade Street before departing for the Speedway.

Customers looking to park in the Uptown area may park at one of seven LYNX park and ride locations and ride the Blue Line into Uptown.  Please exit at the CTC/Arena Station and walk downstairs to the 4th Street side of the Charlotte Transportation Center to board the 80X to the Speedway.
Fare for the 80X is $8.80 for a roundtrip.  Tickets can be purchased in advance via the CATS website.  Advance ticket purchases can be mailed or picked up at the Charlotte Transportation Center by 4:00 p.m. the day of the race. Customers choosing to pay onboard will need to have exact fare.
Passengers may bring small coolers that fit in their laps, but no eating or drinking is permitted onboard the bus.  Pick-up and drop-off locations at the Speedway will be near the track’s entrance.  After the checkered flag, buses will line up and wait for passengers before departing back to Uptown.
