Effective through September 6th, 2012
Temporary Transit Center service
Due to severe weather forecasted for Thursday, President Obama’s acceptance speech will now be at Time Warner Cable Arena instead of Bank of America Stadium. This venue change means that CATS will continue operating from the temporary transit center located at 3rd and Mint St. through the end of the day tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 6.
CATS will continue to have tents, restrooms, pass sales/lost and found, and ambassadors on site Thursday to assist you. Please remember to utilize the large air conditioned tent in the middle of the site to take a rest and as a shelter from any rain or thunder storms. During any rain storms, CATS staff will announce bus arrivals and give you plenty of time to board your bus. We appreciate your patience this week and look forward to moving back and operating from the permanent transit center on Friday.
The LYNX Blue Line will continue to operate from I-485 at South Blvd. to the Stonewall Station. There will be no service to 3rd St. Station, CTC/Arena Station or 7th St. Station. Full service for the LYNX Blue Line will be restored on Friday, Sept. 7. The last train will leave the Stonewall Station at 2:00 a.m.
