Charlotte, N.C. ─ LYNX Blue Line is scheduled to operate a normal schedule tomorrow starting at 5:30 a.m. with possible delays due to weather conditions. The deicing and clearing of stations and park and ride lots is on-going and customers are advised to use caution when entering and exiting the stations for possible slippery conditions.
Due to extreme weather and road conditions, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will begin LIMITED bus service starting at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13. Initial routes starting at 10:00 a.m. are:
Routes: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26 and 27
Other routes will be added throughout the day as conditions allow. Express routes will NOT operate on Thursday.
Passengers should be prepared for some delay or detours to avoid unsafe road conditions.
Special Transportation Service (STS), which is the door-to-door service CATS provides to the disabled, will still operate as normal, as long as road conditions allow.
The most up to date information on bus routes operating, detours or delays is available on CATS website www.ridetransit.org and our twitter account @CATSRidetransit. CATS call center will be operational, however due to the large volume of phone calls received customers should expect long waits to talk with customer service agents.
