Charlotte, N.C. ─ LYNX Blue Line is operating a normal schedule today with possible delays due to weather conditions. The deicing and clearing of stations and park and ride lots is on-going and customers are advised to use caution when entering and exiting the stations for possible slippery conditions.
Due to the road conditions and continued precipitation today, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will begin LIMITED bus service starting at noon today, Thursday, February 13. CATS will continue to monitor conditions and reevaluate routes for bus service today. Pending road conditions, initial routes starting at noon are:
Routes: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, 24, 26 and 27
Express routes are NOT operating today.
Passengers should be prepared for some delay or detours to avoid unsafe road conditions.
Special Transportation Service (STS), which is the door-to-door service CATS provides to the disabled, is operating as normal, as long as road conditions allow.
The most up to date information on bus routes operating, detours or delays is available on CATS website www.ridetransit.org and our twitter account @CATSRidetransit. CATS call center will be operational, however due to the large volume of phone calls received customers should expect long waits to talk with customer service agents.
