CATS UNVEILS MAP TO HELP YOU NAVIGATE LIGHT RAIL CONSTRUCTION

Charlotte, N.C. – Beginning today, residents and commuters can go to www.charlottefuture.com to see where and when traffic may be affected during construction of the LYNX Blue Line Extension (BLE). The map features road closures, lane closures, turning restrictions and bus detours. The map also provides a direct link to detour information along the construction corridor.

“We want commuters, neighborhood residents, pedestrians and patrons of businesses to navigate through any construction areas safely and with ease,” said Danny Rogers, CATS BLE Project Director. “This map will help you stay current with construction information to allow yourself enough travel time to get from one point to another.”

The BLE extends the LYNX Blue Line light rail service from Uptown Charlotte to the UNC Charlotte campus and includes 11 light rail stations and four parking facilities. The line is scheduled to begin operations in Spring 2017.
