IT’S TIME TO VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE CATS PHOTO

Charlotte, N.C., May 9, 2011 - All the entries are in and it’s now time for you to cast your vote in the Charlotte Area Transit System’s (CATS) 2011 “Picture This” photography contest.  CATS received numerous photos depicting the value and benefits of riding public transportation.  To view the photos submitted by our finalists and to cast your vote, go to ridetransit.org and visit the Picture This Photo Contest page, then click on the “Picture This Photo Contest” banner. You may vote for your favorite picture once each day. Voting ends on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at noon.

The 10 photos that receive the most votes will be featured on CATS transit passes for 2012.  Of the 10 winners, the photo with the most votes overall will have their photo featured on the front of a LYNX ticket vending machine (TVM) ticket.   The remaining nine grand prize winners will have their photo featured on the nine pass types with the highest sales for FY11.  The 10 grand prize winners will each receive 12 monthly CATS transit passes for 2012.
