Learn How to Ride CATS from Your Desktop
Immediate Release - August 3, 2012

Hundreds of new riders are expected to take public transit when the Democratic National Convention (DNC) comes to Charlotte September 3 – 6, and the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) wants to make sure you have all the information that you need to make your ride easy and convenient.

On Tuesday, August 7, from 10 – 11 a.m. CATS invites you to participate in a live webinar where CATS’ staff will show you step by step tips on how to plan your trip from finding schedules and routes, to determining what pass or fare you will need.  You will have the chance to email staff during the webinar to ask any questions about taking the bus or train that you have.

“Our goal is to answer as many questions as possible so that any first time rider will feel comfortable giving public transit a try,” said Krystel Green, Senior Marketing Representative for CATS.  “Taking a train or bus is easy once you know how and we hope many of our new riders will continue to use CATS in the future.”  To sign up for the webinar, go to www.ridetransit.org and click on the ‘How to Ride Webinar’ banner and complete the registration form.
