Charlotte, N.C.  ̶   On Sunday, August 24, 2014, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will be conducting an emergency preparations exercise at the Charlotte Transportation Center (CTC), located at 310 East Trade Street.  CATS is conducting the exercise as part of its ongoing commitment to safety for its customers and to the residents of the Charlotte region.  The exercise will simulate an emergency situation that allows CATS staff along with those from local police, fire, county, medic, state and federal agencies to practice their response skills.

CATS staff will be on hand to help you find your route.  Please allow a few extra minutes in your travel plans on Sunday morning. CATS Customer Service will be located at the corner of Caldwell and Fifth Streets.

Service on the LYNX Blue Line will not be interrupted. However riders getting on and off the train will need to use the entrance/exit ramp near the Time Warner Cable Arena to board and depart the train. Access to the center below will not be available during the exercise.
