The Office of International Relations integrated with Neighborhood & Business Services (NBS) in July of 2013 and is now a part of the Economic Development division. The office is a resource for promoting international business and communities. The decision to join NBS was based on the recommendations of an independent study and clarifies the first point of contact for international governments and organizations when reaching out to the City of Charlotte.

The office maintains multiple resources to help the world connect with Charlotte and the people of Charlotte to build connections abroad. There are many ways to be involved in making Charlotte a globally competitive city, including making connections through the area consular corps or our sister city partnerships.
