While adopting from Animal Care & Control, please:
- Have a valid driver’s license or state or government issued ID. If these do not have the correct address, bring in verification of your correct address. Could be a pay check, car registration, utility bill, anything!
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- If there are animals at home, please bring their current rabies certificates with you. If your need a pet license then please also bring their proof of spay/neuter form with you; this way, your pet license will be $10 instead of $30.
- Payments can be made with cash or local checks and MasterCard or Visa. No debit card transactions are possible.
Animal to animal interactions:
We allow and highly recommend that any current dogs you have come to the shelter to meet your next potential family member. Please bring your pet's rabies certificate with you. We cannot accept rabies tags as proof.
