A 2000 Neighborhood Improvement Project

In November 2000, voters approved bonds which included $750,000 for the Eastway/Medford neighborhood. This project is bounded by Eastway Drive, Central Avenue and Norland Road.

During design it was found that the downstream storm drainage system was not adequate to handle the runoff from this area. Design has been completed for the neighborhood work; however the neighborhood work cannot proceed until the downstream drainage has been upgraded. At this time there is no schedule for these upgrades.

Objectives:

To improve the quality of life for the residents of the Eastway/Medford neighborhood
Improvements to the existing storm drainage system in the area

Cost: $750,000
Please note that this figure includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.

The Engineering & Property Management (E&PM) project team will manage the Eastway/Medford neighborhood project through a four stage process.
