McDonald Avenue Sidewalk
McDonald Avenue Sidewalk Project
This project installed sidewalk on McDonald Avenue from Ideal Way to Euclid Avenue.

What's happened? Construction is complete. Landscaping is complete. Pipe repairs are also complete.
 
What's next?
  The project is under warranty for one year until April 2014.

A Transportation Bond Project

This project will provide pedestrian access along McDonald Avenue from Ideal Way to Euclid Avenue and pedestrian connectivity to nearby schools and parks. The project includes the following: 
  • 5-foot sidewalk
  • 8-foot planting strip (Where Possible)
  • Wheel Chair Ramps
  • Installation of Curb and Gutter
  • Storm Drainage Improvements
  • Landscaping (Street Trees)

The traffic circle previously included in the project has been removed at the request of residents.

The sidewalk project limits are from Ideal Way to Magnolia Avenue on the West side of the street and from Magnolia Avenue to Euclid Avenue on the East side of the Street.

Cost:  $1,730,000
Please note that the project cost  includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
