West Tyvola Road Sidewalk

This project will provide a sidewalk along West Tyvola Road from Old Steele Creek Road to West Blvd.

What's happened? City staff held a public meeting on November 27, 2012 to present the conceptual sidewalk alignment.

What's next? The design of the conceptual alignment will continue to be developed. Once the 90% plans are complete, the real estate phase of the project will begin. Affected property owners will be contacted at this time.

The project will construct sidewalk along the side of West Tyvola Road. This is a high priority on the sidewalk ranking list due to adjacent residential and commercial land uses, pedestrian safety and nearby transit.

Objectives:

Address pedestrian safety issues
Provide accessible routes to transit
Create connections between commercial and residential land uses

The project limits are from Old Steele Creek Road to West Boulevard as shown below.

Cost: $To Be Determined
Please note this is the funding amount and includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping. Additional funding may be identified after the planning phase.
