This project will widen Kenilworth Avenue near Pearl Park Way to create a left turn lane for outbound traffic onto Pearl Park Way. This project will also create a left turn lane for inbound traffic onto Pearl Park Way Extension. The completed project will include landscaped medians and pedestrian lighting which will allow pedestrians to safely walk along the street. The work will also include bicycle lanes, sidewalks and planting strips
Project Objectives:
- Improved vehicular/pedestrian access.
- Improved access to the Little Sugar Creek Greenway.
- Updated street and pedestrian lighting.
Cost: $3,000,000
Please note that this figure includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
The Engineering & Property Management (E&PM) project team managed the Kenilworth Avenue @ Pearl Park Way Project through a four-stage process. Specific work is conducted during each stage with an emphasis on public involvement during the planning and design phases.
