This project will make improvements to N. Tryon Street at Austin Drive.

What's happened? Construction is complete.

What's next? The project is in the warranty phase until May 2013.

A Pedestrian and Traffic Safety Project

This project will install a directional crossover median on N. Tryon Street at Austin Drive to improve vehicular safety and reduce the crash rate.

Objectives:

Improve vehicular safety
Reduce crash rate

This project is within the limits of the Lynx Blue Line Extension (BLE). When construction for the BLE begins, additional changes will be made to this intersection.

Cost: $10,000
Please note that the project cost will include all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.

The Engineering & Property Management (E&PM) project team will manage the N. Tryon Street at Austin Drive Project through a four stage process. Specific work will be conducted during each stage with an emphasis on public involvement during the planning and design phases.
