Beal/Wendover Bike Project
Bike Project
This project will construct a bicycle path connecting Beal Road with Marvin Road, to allow cyclists to safely cross Wendover Road along a designated bicycle route.

What's happened?  Construction was complete in March.

The project is currently in the warranty phase.

This transportation project will construct a 10' wide bicycle path that connects Beal Road with Marvin Road, allowing cyclists to safely cross Wendover Road along a designated bicycle route.  

These improvements will be accomplished by building a 600’ long section of multi-use path that begins at the intersection of Marvin Road and Wendover Street. Cyclists will re-enter the bike route at the driveway of the Recreation Center on Beal Street.

Objectives:

  • Reconfigure the bike path to get cyclists off Wendover Road
  • Improve safety for cyclists
  • Provide a continuous bike route that avoids busy streets without bike lanes

This project is part of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) Program, funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Click below to learn more:

Cost:  $90,000
Please note that the project cost will include all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right-of-way, utility relocation, design fees, construction, signalization, landscaping and permits.
