A Transportation Bond Project
The goal of this project is to make improvements to Community House Road from Bryant Farms Road to Ardrey Kell Road to better serve the community, including residents, commuters, businesses, schools, and others. Accommodating all modes of traffic will be considered, including motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists, buses, and commercial vehicles. The project limits are from Bryant Farms Road to Ardrey Kell Road as shown below.
In 2008 City staff began work with engineering consultants DRMP, Inc. to identify deficiencies and determine recommended improvements. Three public meetings were held to obtain public input and feedback, the last of which was on September 22, 2009 when plans were 50% complete and final input was sought. The plans are currently 90% complete and real estate acquisition began in 2010. Click below to view the plans:

Proposed improvements include better pedestrian crossings, medians, additional sidewalks and bike lanes. A key feature of the project will be conversion of the intersection of Community House Road and Bryant Farms Road to a three-legged, single lane roundabout, that could later be expanded to a double lane configuration if necessary. roundabout.
Estimated Cost: $7,500,000
Please note that the project cost will include all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
The Engineering & Property Management (E&PM) project team will manage the Community House Road Farm-to-Market Project through a four stage process. Specific work is conducted during each stage with an emphasis on public involvement during the planning and design phases.
