We need you ...
The Mayor's Mentoring Alliance needs adult volunteers who want to be a positive influence in the life of a young person. The Alliance is a referral service that seeks to connect potential mentors with young people.

More than 60 agencies and organizations make up the alliance. Their basic purpose is to provide positive role modeling that ranges from academic assistance to leadership development.

Fill out the Agency Information Form to become a member of the Mayor's Mentoring Alliance.

What is a Mentor/Tutor?
A mentor/tutor builds a positive relationship with a young person.  You're there tutoring a child in math or teaching a young person to read.  You're there showing them a new skill or sharing words of encouragement.  You're there briefly touching a life in a time of need.

Perhaps you're still there years from now as the child you helped enters college.  As a mentor to a young person you are a role model who shows positive choices and affirms positive behavior.  Learn more from national and local mentoring resources.

Volunteer -- Have An Affect on Someone's Life
Take the time now to change a young person's life.  Volunteer to be a mentor.  It's a simple process.  Just fill out the Volunteer Form or contact us.
