Public Service:Moore served as Charlotte's Mayor from 1924 until 1926. He resigned from office to run a mill in Concord, North Carolina.
Personal:Moore was secretary-treasurer of Thrift Mill in Paw Creek. After running mills in Concord, Moore returned to Charlotte as executive director of the powerful American Cotton Manufacturers Association.
