Violation is issued
Notification of a violation is through door hangers left on site or letters in the mail.
The property owner has 7 days after notification to bring the property into compliance.
If not corrected, the inspector may issue a citation, file an injunction in Environmental Court, or hire a contractor to complete the work. The property owner is responsible for paying the invoice of contracted work.
Failure to pay the invoice can result in a lien being placed against the property.
