A Program Update from How to…from CU

We'd like to thank those of you that responded to our How to… from CU Online Check-up Survey that was emailed July 1, 2011. The survey revealed that some of the topics you found helpful include neighborhood fundamentals, projects and partnerships, fundraising, financial resources, starting a business association, and supporting local businesses. We also learned that you appreciate information that is readily available online.

We got the message, so in response, we are developing a more robust community training initiative that will include an online Resource Toolkit. This toolkit will contain previous How to from CU and Community University training topics that will give you the information on topics of interests when you need it and will be introduced January 1, 2012. We are just beginning this work. While we get it up and running, we hope that you will continue to utilize our current online resources (Community University Online Archive) and our Neighborhood & Business Services Website. Please note, most but not all of the hyperlinks in our online resources will automatically take you to the website's current page. For example, if you are interested in back to school information, click on the archived edrip titled "Back to School Tips." You'll find that the hyperlinks listed will take you to up to date information for the 2011/2012 school calendar year on Charlotte Mecklenburg School's website. Please refer to the hyperlinks below for NBS information and updates: If you have questions or need specialized training assistance, please contact Elaine Woods at 704 - 336-7846, or email her at ewoods@charlottenc.gov. We will continue to keep you informed and look forward to providing you with continued online and other resources to help revitalize your communities.
