Charlotte Works is a public-private partnership that invests in training and other services to develop and connect job seekers to the changing needs of employers. Training and resources are based on employer needs and jobs that are in demand.
The organization customizes a wide array of programs and services for employers expanding in or relocating to the Charlotte area, including
- recruitment events and products for all levels of talent, including entry-level, skilled trade and professional;
- various funding opportunities for training;
- business and human resources-focused seminars; and
- in-depth, local job market data.
The Employer Engagement Center, located at 1401 W. Morehead Street, just outside of uptown, offers a unique space for employers to connect with job seekers and the community.
For job seekers, Charlotte Works offers workshops, individual resume and interview coaching, networking opportunities and more at the Employer Engagement Center and South Boulevard JobLink Center. More than 25 Shared Network Access Points (SNAP) sites located strategically throughout Mecklenburg County offer job seekers convenient access to computers and other resources.
