Transit Oriented Development

Transit Oriented Development (TOD).

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Planning Department is initiating an effort to revise the zoning districts for Transit Oriented Development (TOD) in order to help us get better development and create more vibrant, interesting, and sustainable transit station areas. Assisting the City in this effort is the consulting firm of Clarion Associates, LLC.

An informational meeting was held on June 12, 2014 to discuss the TOD revision process and gather public input on what’s working with the current TOD zoning and what’s not. The presentation from this meeting is available for review, including the results of the real-time polling in which meeting attendees participated.
