Be Prepared for Any Disaster

Disasters may not always be preventable, but thoughtful preparation can mitigate many of the consequences of an event.
Whether you are preparing for a forecasted hurricane or flood, or making preparations in the event a human caused disaster might occur in the community, the preparation is very much the same.

By following the steps for deciding communications contacts, assembling the necessary emergency supplies, and for volunteering for community assistance, you will be better prepared to handle any emergency. Here are some items you may want to incorporate into your personal safety planning.
