The Mecklenburg County Local Management Entity (LME) has the responsibility of monitoring all providers of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse services in accordance with rules, regulations and procedures set forth by the North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services (MH/DD/SAS).
FEM Rating
One monitoring tool that was developed by the State and is required of all LMEs to use is the Frequency and Extent of Monitoring (FEM). The FEM assesses the level of confidence and determines the frequency in which providers will receive routine monitoring. Learn more about FEM Ratings and what they mean.
Star Rating
The Mecklenburg Provider Performance Report (MPPR) is a local 4 star measurement of the performance of child and adult mental health, developmental disability and substance abuse service providers based on specific quality indicators. It brings together pieces of information about each provider that have not previously been available in one place. Learn what the stars mean and more about Star Rating. Note: as of April 2012, all previous Star Ratings have been removed from the website. As providers are re-evaluated using the revised tool, their scores will be posted.
