An Address verification is a form required for the issuance of a building permit. Specific information is required by the Addressing Team to correctly complete the verification form.
Usually an address verification will fall into one of the following categories:
Existing Residential Lot - An address has already been assigned. To identify the correct lot, provide one of the following to the Addressing Team: an adjacent address, the owner name, or the parcel number.
Newly Created Residential Lot - Bring or fax a survey of the new lot to the Addressing Team.
Commercial Development Requiring Planning Approval - Send or bring a site plan that has been approved by the proper planning authority.
Commercial Development Not Requiring Planning Approval - Send or bring a site plan showing property lines, building footprints, and main point of access of the development.
Existing Building with Existing Address - Send or bring the existing address with a description of the type of work being done to the Addressing Team.
Multi-Family - Send or bring a site plan approved by the proper planning authority.
