The Behavioral Health Division
(BHD) is an internal, self-directed, cross-functional team that provides behavioral health consultation, technical assistance and expertise to the Departments within the County's Consolidated Human Services Agency with a focus on three main areas: Clinical Care, Provider-Community Network, and Outcome Performance.
Vision:Promote a culture of health and wellness.
Mission: Establish the principles of integrated care and of new collaborative delivery systems that are patient-centered care, holistic care and team-based care. Purpose:Develop actions to meet and resolve behavioral health issues identified by the Departments of the Consolidated Human Services Agency.
Scope of Work: Provide guidance, knowledge, and expertise to the five departments within the Consolidated Human Services Agency specific to behavioral healthcare issues related to, and in the context of, consumers served within each of the departments.Develop a consolidated human services provider-community network that is organized and structured around integrated primary health and behavioral health. Develop outcome and performance data to improve services, promote consumer engagement and clinical effectiveness across all service settings (behavioral health, social services, health) and consumer populations. Manage County funds designated for the provision of Mental Heath, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Services.
