Vice Chairman Kim M. Ratliff, At Large, is a native of Charlotte serving her first term on the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners and in her first elected office. She is a graduate of Independence High School in Charlotte and received a BA in political science from NC Central University, with a concentration in public administration and a minor in history.
She is a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, vice president of the Holiday Hills/Alexander Place Neighborhood Association, and is president of the Charlotte Alumni Chapter and By-Laws chair of the National Alumni Association for North Carolina Central University.
Commissioner Ratliff is a member of the Mecklenburg County Black Political Caucus, Mecklenburg County Democratic Women, past member of the Southern Central Labor Council and past area vice president of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) Local # 3603. She was appointed to the Board of Directors of the The Latin American Coalition from 2010 to 2014.
