The Board approved the use of $13.2M in revenue bonds to attract an unnamed company to locate in Charlotte. The firm is considering Charlotte and other cities for a facility that will create 620 jobs with a capital investment of $131M. The City of Charlotte has $44.5M in revenue bonds available.
City Council has not yet voted on the plan. The bonds provide low-interest financing for private development and are not guaranteed or paid for by the City or County.
