The Board of County Commissioners spent much of its time discussing a resolution offered by Commissioner Cogdell entitled "Resolution honoring, supporting and paying tribute to community values that embrace and promote equality, diversity, tolerence, inclusion, respect and civility. Nearly 30 residents spoke to the issue. The board adopted the resolution unanimously.

The Board voted to reappoint commissioners Suzanne Freeman, Dennis Phillips, Robert Wiggins, Mark Billings, Paula Vincent and Dr. Thomas Zweng to the EMS Joint Agency Board.

The Board withdrew one item on the original agenda - discussion about a funding mechanism and reorganization of providing fire protection services for the unincorporated parts of the County. That item will be taken up at a future meeting.

Next regular meeting of the Board is on Wednesday, January 19.
