Fighting Back’ Building Could Be Renamed After Hattie B. Anthony

Commissioners discussed a proposal by Commissioner Vilma Leake to rename the former ‘Fighting Back’ building located at 1705 Rosa Parks Place, off of Beatties Ford Road.  The Board is considering naming the facility after Hattie B. Anthony, who died last year. Anthony was a community activist and past director of Fighting Back, a former County substance abuse program. The proposed name change will come to a vote at the next regular Board meeting on Jan. 22.
