Purpose:
To administer and enforce the various ordinances, codes, standards, and regulations involved in the review of commercial construction documents as required to protect the public's health, safety, and welfare; review commercial building plans to ensure compliance with technical codes and local ordinances; process commercial permits; assist the building community, and general public in understanding the regulations involved in the process; and answer their questions about commercial building projects, whether existing or proposed.
Scope of Services:
Provides fee-based plan review services.
Processes commercial building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits.
Assists with field inspection problem resolution.
Completes checklists summarizing plan review requirements and expectations.
Resolves problems associated with plan review activities.
Provides pre-submittal consultation regarding technical code requirements.
Researches and develops code interpretations.
