Economic Development Director Recruitment
I would like to inform you that we have hired an executive search firm, Waters & Company, to assist us in the recruitment of an Economic Development Director for the County.
The position was posted on the County’s website on Dec. 19. A marketing brochure also has been developed which includes not only the job description, required qualifications, hiring salary range, and benefits, but a profile of the ideal candidate, an overview of the application and selection process, and some general information about Mecklenburg County (both community and government).
It’s our hope to have an accelerated recruitment process with an initial screening of applicants in mid-January. I will keep you posted as this process progresses. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact, Assistant County Manager Leslie Johnson at
