Update to Brooklyn Village and Walton Plaza RFP Timeline
I would like to inform you of an Addendum to the Brooklyn Village and Walton Plaza Master Developer Solicitation Request for Proposals previously issued on Dec. 18, 2015. Mecklenburg County is extending the deadline for proposal submissions until March 4, 2016.
After a series of conversations with the prequalified respondents, we have decided to allow this two-week extension because of respondents’ staffing constraints that occurred during the two-week holiday period and the recent inclement weather.
The Brooklyn Village and Walton Plaza sites are unique parcels and this extension will provide the pre-qualified respondents with the time necessary to produce high-quality, fully-responsive submissions.
A new timeline for the Brooklyn Village and Walton Plaza Master Developer Solicitation Request for Proposals will be posted on www.mecklenburgcountync.gov. Child Support Enforcement Launches New Application Software
Mecklenburg County’s Child Support Enforcement Department (CSE) is making it easier than ever for its customers to apply for services and submit applications.
Today, CSE officially launched http://ChildSupportEZApply.com, a landing page on www.MecklenburgCountyNC.gov for its new application software. The software goes a long way in saving time and money for both the customer and the County.
Each year, between 4,000 and 5,000 customers visit the CSE office in order to apply for services. Prior to the launch of http://ChildSupportEZApply.com, each customer had to make an appointment with a case worker who entered information into the system. Each appointment averaged one hour.
The software is in use in a number of jurisdictions across the country including the state of New Hampshire; Cook County, Illinois; New York City and several counties in California. February is Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month
