Description3 Why interested : I have lived and worked in the Charlotte community since 1992 and over the last 16 years, I have been involved in a number of projects geared towards making Charlotte-Mecklenburg a better place to live for everyone in our community. Professionally, I have worked in the areas of Affordable Housing, Human Relations and Drop-Out Prevention all issues that when not properly addressed lead to the increase of crime within our neighborhoods and business districts. I currently work in the NoDa community and live in the University City area both of which are experiencing tremendous increases in crime to property and persons. My goal as a member of this task force would be to bring an objective look at the problem, its root causes and then work to create/recommend solutions based on priorities set by residents, law enforcement officials and available resources. I hope that I will be strongly considered for this opportunity to serve my community.
