Summary:
Description1
Recent cost reduction initiatives have led Mecklenburg County (“County”) to re-evaluate all current spending and contracts with vendors. The County - has aggressive savings targets for the years 2012 - 2014 and is keen to explore creative solutions to generate savings in the temp labor services category. The City of Charlotte (“City”) is interested in understanding potential savings if the City’s spend is included in the scope. The City’s role will be to review this process and ultimately decide to participate should it be in the best interest of the City. This is an exciting opportunity for you to demonstrate your ability to make a significant impact from both a financial and operational perspective.
The County is planning to bid out an estimated spending of $1.1 MM per year for the next three (3) years, with the option to renew for two additional consecutive one- (1) year terms thereafter. Additionally, there is a potential additional City’s spending of about $0.9 MM, if the City decide to participate. Hence the total spend could be up to $2 MM. We sincerely hope you can become a strategic partner with us.
Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte, located in the State of North Carolina, are now accepting Proposals for Temporary Staffing Services. The requirements for submitting a Proposal are stated in the attached Request for Proposals (the “RFP”). Please review them carefully.
Should the City decide to participate, the contract will be reviewed and approved by Council.
